1. Uncheck Administrator from the game exe file
The first step is to uncheck administrator from game exe5 so go to the game installation folder if you bought the game on Steam make a right click on the game select manage then click on browse local files it will straight away take you to the game installation folder Now find the game exe file make a right click and then select properties go to compatibility Tab and then uncheck the box which is run this program as an administrator if this is checked like this uncheck this box and then click on apply click on ok now scroll up if you have this sp22 folder open this folder if you don't have this folder you can skip this step but if you have this folder open this folder now again find the Cod exe5 and then make a right click and then select properties again uncheck the box which says run this program as an administrator then click on apply click on OK Now launch the game.
2. Disable Steam Overlay, and close all overlay apps such as Discord, GeForce Experience, AMD overlay
Now the next step is to disable steam overlay and close all the overly applications so make right-click on the game select properties and then uncheck the box which says enable the steam overlay while in the game if this is checked uncheck this then launch the game also close all kinds of overlay applications so if you have Discord running close Discord if you have GeForce experience running close J first experience if you have AMD overlay application running close it so close all the overlay application.
3. Uncheck compatibility from Steam and game exe file- close steam first
Now the next step is to uncheck compatibility from Steam in the game exe file but before that close steam first so first of all close Steam and then go to the game installation folder so wherever the game is installed if the game is installed in C drive open program files x86 now open the Steam folder now open the steam apps folder open the common folder over here you will find the game folder in my case it's in e Drive so open Steam folders steam apps folder now open the common folder and then open the game folder now again find the game exe file make a right click then select properties compatibility.
Now if run this program in compatibility mode for is checked if this is checked uncheck this and then click on apply click on OK scroll up if you have this sp22 folder and open that folder and again do the same thing so if you find this SP Cod exe file maker right click select properties and then again uncheck the box which says run this program in compatibility mode for then click on apply click on OK and then launch the game you can launch Steam and then launch the game.
Now do the same thing for steam, type Steam in the Windows search box and then make a right click on the Steam app then click on open file location and then make write on Steam, and then select properties again uncheck the box which says run this program in compatibility mode for if this is checked to uncheck this and then click on apply click on OK Now launch the game.
4. If able to launch the game then turn off on-demand texture streaming and DLSS
Now the next step is to turn off on-demand texture streaming and dlss so if you can launch the game you can perform these steps so launch the game first if you can launch the game now on the top right click on the settings icon and then go to graphics now go to Quality once you go to Quality scroll down you can over here texture resolution you can lower down the texture resolution if this is set to high you can select normal or low and once you select the lower texture resolution or scroll down more now over here you can see on-demand texture streaming turn this off if this is on turn this off click on yes and then launch the game once again and then check also turn off dlss.
5. Delete the save game file (This will result in loss of game progress & saved settings)
Now the next step is to delete the save game file but before you delete the save game file let me inform you that this will result in loss of game progress and saved settings so to delete the save game files open File Explorer now go to documents folder over here you can see Call of Duty folder make a right key and then click on delete now once this is deleted Now launch the game,
6. Verify/Repair the game files
Now the next step is to verify or repair the game file so make right-click on the game select properties go to the local files tab and click on verify Integrity of game files after the verification launch the game if you bought the game from battle.net then click on this settings icon over here and then click on scan and repair.
7. Link your blizzard account/Steam with Activision: https://s.activision.com/activision/p...
Now the next step is to link your blizzard account Blizzard or Steam account with Activision for this copy the link https://s.activision.com/activision/login open this link in a browser it will take you to the Activision website now log in enter your username and password your email and password if you have not created any account you can click on sign up and then create an account and then click on sign in.
Now once you're logged in click on the profile now over here you should be able to see the Steam account if this is not linked you will see an option to link the account so in front of the steam account click on the link and then link your Steam account with Activision similarly if you bought the game on Battle.net then over here also you will find link option Link account so click on the link and then enter your details your Battle.net Account Details and then link your Battle.net account with activism now if you have already linked still you're facing the problem then you can unlink this click on unlink and then again click on the link and link your Steam and Battle.net account and then launch the game.
8. When you launch the game, if you receive a prompt to launch in safe mode try it
Now the next step is to try launching the game in safe mode so so launch the game now if you see the option to launch the game in safe mode you can try it so when you launch the game if you see this run in safe mode click on yes and you can even try no so try both the option and check if the game is launching or not.
9. Let the shaders optimization be 100% complete
Now the next step is to let Shader optimization be 100 complete and then continue playing the e so when you launch the game over here you can see Sader optimization make sure Shader optimization is 100 completely then you can continue playing the game and that should improve the performance.
10. Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program Windows Security and firewall
Now the next step is to allow the gaming XC file to the antivirus program so if you have any third-party antivirus make sure that you allow the game exe file to your antivirus program now if you are using Windows security then open Windows settings now if you have Windows 11 click on privacy and security if you have Windows 10 click on update and security now click on Windows security click on virus and thread protection scroll down at the end click on manage ransomware protection now click on allow an app through control folder access click on yes to allow.
Now click on ADD and allowed app then click on browse all apps now go to the game installation folder so wherever the game is installed open the game folder now select all the exe file one by one make sure that you select all the exe file I have one two three four five six exe5 so make sure that you allow the gaming xc5 over here so select all the XC file one by one in my case I've already added again click on add an allowed app browse all apps and then select all the exe file one by one and add it once added now click on browse all apps this time if you have sp22 folder open this folder again add all the exe file in my case I've already added so make sure that you allow all the exe file.
Now open firewall so type in firewall and then click on Windows Defender Firewall and then click on allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall now click on change settings click on allow another app browse and again select all the exe files so first of all select all the exe file which you see over here all the five exe files 6 exe file and then click on open now once done open sp22 folder if you have this folder and then select all the XC file click on open in my case I have already added click on add in my case everything is added over here once done click on OK and then launch the game.
11. Put -dx11/-d3d11 /-dx12 in launch options
The next step is to put dx11 Dash d311 or dx12 in the launch option so go to steam maker right click on the game and then select properties and then in the launch option type in dash dx11 and then launch the game if that does not work type in Dash d 3d11 over here then launch the game if that does not work try Dash dx12 and then launch the game if nothing works you can remove everything from here.
Then follow the next step now for battle.netuser type in this so for this go to Battle.net click on the settings then click on game settings and then over here you can see additional command line arguments put a check over here and then type in dash d3d11 Now launch the game and then check if still not working then you can remove this and then follow the next step.
12. Run the game from the game installation folder
Now the next step is to Run the game from the game installation folder go to the game installation folder wherever the game is installed so make a right click on the game select manage then click on browse local files and try launching the game from the game installation folder so make a double click over here and try launching the game from here you can also open this sp22 if you have this folder and then find Cod exe file and then make a double click over here and try launching the game from the game installation folder.
13. Do a clean installation of the latest graphics driver
NVIDIA Website - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
AMD Website - https://www.amd.com/en/support
The next step is to do a clean installation of your graphics driver if you have an Nvidia card go to the Nvidia website if you have an AMD card go to the AMD website I am showing for NVIDIA go to the Nvidia website and select your graphic card from the list make sure that you select your graphic card over here and select the right operating system so if you have Windows 11 select Windows 11 if you have Windows 10 select Windows 10 then click on start search now scroll down over here you can see this is the latest GeForce game ready driver so install this GeForce game, ready driver, right now the driver version is 526.98 this is the latest one right.
Now so whichever is the latest click on get download and then again click on download now let the download complete once the download is complete run the exe file then you will see the screen click on agree and continue and then put a check on the box which is custom and then click on next then again put a check on the box which says perform a clean installation make sure that you put a check over here first and then click on next and let the installation complete.
14. Laptop users with a dual graphics card- Run the game on the dedicated graphics card
Now once the installation is complete make sure that you restart your computer foreign make sure that you run the game on the dedicated graphic card now for this type in graphics settings in the Windows search box and then click on Graphics settings now click on browse over here and then again go to the game installation folder and select the game exe file select this Cod exe file then click on add in my case the game is already added once added click on it then click on options select high performance now click on C again click on browse now if you have this sp22 folder open this folder select sp22 Cod exe file then click on ADD now once the game is added over here click on it then click on options select high performance now click on Save Now launch the game.
15. Install Visual C++ files: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-160
Now the next step is to install the Visual C ++ file for this copy this link the link is provided in the video description open this link in a browser it will take you to the Microsoft website scroll down over here you can see Visual Studio 2015 17 19 and 22 downloads x86 version so click on it and then run this exe file now if you see the repair option click on repair if you see the install option click on install so you might see repair option as well so if you see repair click on repair if you see install click on install click on yes to allow and let the installation complete now download x64. so you have to download x86 and x64.
Now install this so run this exe file again if you see the repair option click on repair if you see the install option click on install click on yes to allow and let the installation complete make sure both the installation are complete then restart your computer so once this is complete you will see a restart option over here so click on the restart and after the system restart try launching the game.
16. Install Media Feature Pack: If you are using N versions of Windows
Now the next step is to install the media Feature Feature pack so if you have n version of Windows then install the media feature pack now for this copy this link the link is provided in the video description open this link in a browser it will again take you to Microsoft website over here you can see for Windows 10 users open Windows settings now click on apps and then click on optional features now click on add a feature and over here type in media feature pack.
Now once you type in media feature pack you will see media feature pack over here put a check on the box and then click on install I don't have it I have Windows 10 home I don't have Windows and Edition so if you have Windows 10 and Edition you will find media feature pack over here put a check and then click on install on the bottom after the installation restart your computer and then launch the game so Windows 11 11 an addition user open settings go to apps optional features then click on view features and then type in media feature pack and install media feature pack restart your computer and then launch the game.
17. Switch to normal Windows 10/11 editions
The next step is to simply you can switch to the normal Windows version and then launch the game.
18. Update Windows to the latest version
The next step is to update Windows to the latest version for this open Windows settings and then click on update and security or Windows update click on check for an update once all the updates are installed restart your computer and then launch the game.
19. Close all the overclocking and overlay apps, perform a clean boot and close all the background application
The next step is to close all the overclocking applications so if you have MSI afterburner running close MSI After Burner if you have revert tuner running close revert tuner also close all the overlay applications and perform a clean boot for this type in the system configuration in Windows search box and then click on system configuration now go to the services Tab and then put a check on the box which says hide all Microsoft Services make sure that you put a check over here first.
Then click on disable all then click on apply click on OK you will see the restart option restart a computer and then launch the game also if you have any RGB software running in the background make sure that you close the RGB software as this is causing the problem for many users so close RGB software and then launch the game also if you are trying to launch the game on multiple monitors so if you have multiple monitor setup disconnect multiple Monitor and try launching the game on the single monitor also unplug all the USB devices which you are not using.
So if you have an additional controller connected so if you have these devices connected disconnected and then launch the game also if you have this software running on your computer make sure that you close this software and then launch the game make sure only the Steam and the game is running or only the Battle.net and the game is running rest close everything including all your browsers also remove the underworld so if you have under voltage it can be able to remove the underworld and then launch the game.
20. Increase the Virtual Memory
The next step is to increase the virtual memory now for this type in view Advanced system settings and then click on view Advanced system settings now click on the first settings over here and then go to Advanced Tab and then click on change select the drive by default automatically manage paging file would be selected uncheck this box select the drive where the game is installed then put a check on custom size and for me, this is working that is initial size over here that is one period five into total Ram.
Now total Ram you can find it you can open Windows settings go to the home in Windows settings go to system and then go to about over here you will see your total Ram install RAM 8 gigabytes in my case it's 8 gigabytes so you have to convert 8 gigabytes in megabytes so open calculator for me it's 8 gigabytes so 8 into 1024 that is 8192 megabytes into 1.5 is the initial size that is 12288 as per 8 gigabytes maximum size is 3 into total Ram is 8192 into 3 that is 24576 as per 8 gigabytes and then click on set okay apply okay okay now launch the game.
21. Update System BIOS
The next step is to update the system bios now this has worked for many players so it might work for you if you go to your system manufacturer's website if you have a Dell computer go to the Dell website if you have an HP computer go to HP website if you have Lenovo computer go to Lenovo website so go to your system manufacturer website select your model number make sure that you select your model number this is just an example.
Now once you select your model number go to drivers and find the BIOS so find the BIOS and then download your system bios update your system bios to the latest version so download it now before you update the BIOS make sure in case of a laptop make sure the battery is more than 10 percent and the charger the AC adapter is connected to the computer and then update your system bios now during the BIOS update your system will restart and during the BIOS update do not unplug the power cable and once done log into your computer and then launch the game.
22. Try Windowed mode, and lower down video settings
The next step is to try Window mode lower down graphic settings, and launch the game if you can launch the game now click on settings on the top right and then go to graphics now over here select Window mode you can also try full-screen borderless and then check now turn off Dynamic resolution scroll down try turning off vsync now go to Quality apply the settings and then go to Quality now over here you can select the texture resolution as normal or low and then check the performance now scroll down and then turn off this on-demand texture streaming also if quality preset is set to ultra you can select balanced you can also select basic or minimum and then apply the settings and then check the performance.
23. Uninstall and reinstall the game to a different drive (SSD), if already installed to an external drive, then switch to the C drive
Now the last step is to uninstall and reinstall the game to a different drive so first of all uninstall the game now after you uninstall go to the game installation folder and delete the game folder make sure that you delete the game folder after you uninstall it then restart your computer first and after the system restart tries reinstalling the game to different drives so if you have another SSD or HDD try installing the game to different drive now if you have already installed the game to an external drive then you can switch to C drive and then check.
