1. Skip the 2k launcher

Now the first step is to skip the 2K launcher so for this go to steam make a right click on the game select properties and under General over here you can see the launch option now if the game is installed in C drive then you can copy this command this location

Paste it over here if the game is installed in C drive you can use this location paste it over here and then launch the game it will skip the 2K launcher now if the game is installed in some other drive if the game is installed in D drive you can use this location so make a right click over here select properties so over here if the game is installed in another drive then you simply change the name of the drive so if the game is installed you D drive so in my case the game is installed in right so if the game is installed in D drive you can change the letter over here as d if the game is installed in e Drive you can change the later over here e so just change the drive over here and then launch the game it will straight away launch the game so over here you can see it skipped the launcher and it is launching the game without the launcher so you can try this.
Now if you don't want to use this method so in the launch option if you don't want to use any kind of commands over here then you remove this there is another method you can go to the game installation folder make a right-click select manage then click on browse local files it will straight away take you to the game installation folder now use this exe file over here you can see midnight suns.exe make a double click and launch the game from here so over here you can see the game is launching without 2K launchers so I can see the game launching over here so you can see it's launching without the launcher so let me close this.
Now use only this exe file do not use the exe file from this folder for me when I'm launching the game from here using this EXE the game is launching without 2K launchers now if you open midnight Suns and then open binaries win 64. if you launch using this exe it will open 2K launcher and for me, it's opening so over here you can see it's opening the 2K launchers so when I'm using this location when I'm using this shipping exe it's opening the 2K launchers this is happening for me but if I'm launching the game using the using this exe file this one the game is launching without the 2K launcher.
So you can either launch the game from the game installation folder using this exe file or you can use this command if the game is installed in C drive you can copy and paste it in the launch option over here if the game is installed in see right you can use this command now if the game is installed in another drive maybe F drive or D drive or e Drive simply change the name of the drive over here and copy everything and paste it in the launch option and then launch the game it will skip the 2K launcher so this has worked for many players so you can try.
2. Clear the download cache in Steam
If not work then try this next step Player download cache in Steam for this go to steam on the top click on Steam then click on settings go to the downloads Tab and then click on clear download cache once done now launch the game.
3. Try -dx11 or -dx12 in launch options
Now the next step is to try dx11 or dx12 in the launch option so go to steam make a right click on the game select properties under the launch option type in dash dx11 Now launch the game still you're facing the problem then try Dash dx12 and then launch the game now if nothing happens then remove this.
Now follow the next step, next step is to open the Oculus app now this has worked for many players so it might work for you if you have the Oculus app pre-installed on a computer then launch the coolest app and then launch the game if you don't have it then you can go to this link you can download Oculus and open Oculus in the background and then launch the game.
5. Delete the saved game files (This will result in loss of game progress)
Now the next step is to delete the saved game files now before you delete the saved game file let me inform you that this will result in a loss of game progress you have to start everything from scratch so to delete the saved game files open File Explorer goes to this PC open C drive open users folder open your username folder open documents folder now open my games folder and over here you will find the game folder make a right click and then click on delete once this is deleted Now launch the game.
6. Run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder
Now the next step is to run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder go to stream maker right click on the game select manage then click on browse local files it will straight away take you to the game installation folder so wherever the game is installed ins try launching the game from here so make a double click on this exe file you can make a double right click and then click on run as administrator you can also make a right click.
Then select properties go to the compatibility Tab and then put a check on the box which says run this program as in administrator put a check over here and then click on apply click on OK and then try launching the game from here still you're facing the problem then open midnight Suns folder open binaries folder win64 again make a right click on the exe file make a right click on midnight Sun's win64 shipping.exe select properties go to compatibility put a check on the box which says run this program as an administrator then click on apply click on OK and then make a double click over here and try launching the game from the game installation folder.
7) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program/Windows Security and Firewall
Still, if you're facing the problem then allow the game exe file to your antivirus program if you have any third-party antivirus make sure that you allow the game exe file to your antivirus program if you are using Windows security then open Windows settings if you have Windows 11 over here you will find privacy and security option so Windows 11 users click on privacy and security Windows 10 users click on update and security now click on Windows security click on virus and threat protection scroll down click on click on manage ransomware protection now click on allow an app through control folder axis click on yes to allow now click on add an allowed app then click on browse all apps now go to the game installation folder if the game is installed in C drive open C drive program files x86.
Now open the Steam folder now open the steam apps folder now open the common folder over here you will find the game folder in my case it's in e Drive so open Steam Library steam apps common then open the game folder now select this exe file now click on open again click on add an allow tab browse all apps and then again open this midnight Suns binaries win64 select this exe file now click on open now click on add an allowed app browse all apps this time open the launcher folder 2K launcher folder select this exe now click on open once you add all the XC file over here now launch the game similarly now open control panel so type your control panel in Windows search box and then click on control panel go to system and security.
Now click on Windows Defender Firewall now click on allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall now now click on change settings in the top now click on allow another app now click on browse again go to the game installation folder open the game folder select the game exe file now click on Open click on add in my case the game is already added now again click on browse midnight Suns binaries win64 select this exe now click on Open click on ADD again in my case this is already added again click on browse this time open the 2K launcher folder select this exe now click on Open click on ADD once all the exes are added over here click on OK and then launch the game.
5. Do a clean installation of graphics
NVIDIA Website - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
AMD Website - https://www.amd.com/en/support
The next step is to do a clean installation of your graphics driver if you have an Nvidia card go to the Nvidia website if you have an AMD card go to the AMD website I am showing for NVIDIA go to the Nvidia website and select your graphic card from the list make sure that you select your graphic card over here and select the right operating system so if you have Windows 11 select Windows 11 if you have Windows 10 select Windows 10 then click on start search now scroll down over here you can see this is the latest GeForce game ready driver so install this GeForce game, ready driver, right now the driver version is 526 period 98 this is the latest one right now so whichever is the latest click on get download and then again click on download.
Now let the download complete once the download is complete run the exe file then you will see the screen click on agree and continue and then put a check on the box which is custom and then click on next then again put a check on the box which says perform a clean installation make sure that you put a check over here first and then click on next and let the installation complete now once the installation is complete make sure that you restart your computer.
9. Rollback graphics driver
Now the next step is to roll back Graphics drivers so again go to the Nvidia website now select your graphic card from the list make sure that you select your graphic card this is just an example select the right operating system click on search and this time downloads the previous version so this is the latest one right now 527 periods three seven you can try five two six period nine eight or you can try five to six period eight six or you can even try the previous version but whenever you download and install it go for clean installation so put a check on the box which says clean installation and then install it restarting the computer and then launch the game.
10. Verify game files
Now the next step is to verify the game file now for this go to steam maker right click on the game select properties go to the local files tab and then click on verify Integrity of game files after the verification launch the game.
11. Disable Steam Overlay, close all the overlay apps
Now the next step is to disable steam overlay now for this go to steam maker right click on the game select properties uncheck the box which says enable the steam overlay while in the game uncheck this box and then launches the game also close all the overlay applications so if you have Discord running close it if you have GeForce experience running close it if you have this software running close this software so close all the oval application also close all the overclocking applications so if you have MSI afterburner running close it if you have revert tuner running close it so close all the overclocking application also perform clean boot for this typing system configuration in Windows search box and then click on system configuration.
Now go to the services Tab and then put a check on the box which says hide all Microsoft Services put a check over here first and then click on disable all in my case this is grayed out I already did it in your case this would be highlighted so make sure that you put a check on hide all Microsoft Services then click on disable all now click on apply click on ok now restart the computer and then launch the game.
12. Run the game on the dedicated graphics card
Now the next step is to run the game on the dedicated graphic card now for this type in graphics settings in the Windows search box and then click on Graphics settings now click on browse over here and then go to the game installation folder once again and open the game folder select this exe file now click on ADD once the game is added click on it then click on options select high performance now click on Save again click on browse and then open midnight Sun's binaries win64 select this exe file now click on ADD in my case this is already added so click on options select high performance now click on Save and then launch the game.
13. Increase the Virtual Memory
Now the next step is to increase the virtual memory now for this type view Advanced system settings in the Windows search box and then click on view Advanced system settings now click on the first settings now go to Advanced Tab and then click on change over here by default automatically manage paging file would be selected uncheck this box select the drive where the game is installed and put a check on custom size and then initial size for me this is working 1.5 into total Ram to check the total Ram you can open Windows settings go to system and then go to about over here you can see total Ram in my case it's 8 gigabytes we have to convert this 8 gigabyte into megabyte.
So open the calculator because over here it's in MB megabyte in my case it's 8 gigabytes if you have 16 you can calculate as per your total Ram so in my case it's 8 gigabytes we have to convert into megabytes that are 8 gigabytes into 10 24 that is 8192 megabyte into 1.5 is an initial size that is 12288 maximum is 3 into total Ram is 8192 in megabyte into 3 that is 24576 and then click on set okay okay apply okay okay and then launch the game.
14. Install Visual C++ Files
Now the next step is to install the Visual C++ file for this copy this link open this link in a browser it will take you to the Microsoft website scroll down and click on over here you can see Visual Studio 2015 17 19 and 22 download x86 file first and then run this exe file now if you see the repair option click on repair if you see the install option click on install in my case I've already installed just now so it's telling me to restart so let the installation complete once done download x64 bit x64 file and then run this exe file again if you see the repair option click on repair if you see install option click on install in my case I have already installed that's why it's telling me to restart so after you install this make sure that you restart your computer and after the system restart and launch the game.
15. Install Media Feature Pack: If you are using N versions of Windows or switch normal Windows 10/11 editions
Now the next step is to install the media feature pack if you are using the N version of Windows I don't have the N version of Windows I have Windows 10 home so if you have the N version of Windows you can copy this link and open this link in a browser it will take you to Microsoft website over here you can see Windows 10 and edition if you have this open Windows setting then go to apps then click on optional features now click on add a feature now over here type in media feature pack now once you type in media feature pack over here you will see media feature pack put a check on the box and then click on install in my case it's not there because.
I have Windows 10 home if you have Windows 10 in addition find the media feature pack then click on install after the installation restart your computer and then launch the game for Windows 11 and Edition go to settings apps optional features and then click on view features type in media feature pack install it restart your computer and then launch the game or you can even switch to normal Windows 10 or 11 edition if you can.
16. Update your Windows
Now the next step is to update your windows make sure this is important make sure that your windows are up to date open Windows settings go to update and security or Windows update and then click on check for an update once all the updates are installed restart the computer and then launch the game.
Now the next step is to disconnect multiple monitors so try launching the game on a single monitor unplug all the USB devices which you are not using so if you have these devices connected disconnected also if you have this software running close this software so make sure only the Steam and the game is running or only epic games launcher and the game is running rest close everything including all your browsers also if you have undervolted your computer remove the Underwood and then launch the game.
Now the next step is to update your system bios so for this go to your system manufacturer's website if you have a Dell computer go to the Dell website if you have a Lenovo computer go to the Lenovo website if you have an HP computer go to the HP website so go to your system manufacturer website select your model number make sure that you select your model number this is just an example.
17. Disconnect multiple monitors, unplug all the USB devices
18. Update System BIOS
Now once you select your model number go to the drivers and download page and then find drivers find system bios and then download the BIOS now before you update the BIOS in the case of a laptop make sure the battery is more than 10 percent and the AC adapter the charger is connected to the computer and then update the BIOS during the BIOS update your system will restart and when it's updating the BIOS do not unplug the power cable so after buys update is complete log into your computer and then launch the game.
19. Try Windowed mode, dx11, turn off ray tracing, and lower down graphics settings
Now the next step is to try Window mode and lower down Graphics settings so Drive in Window mode lower down Graphics settings you can also use DirectX 11 if you are able to launch the game use switch to dx11 also turn off Ray tracing so if Ray tracing is on turn off Ray tracing and lower down Graphics settings so if you are able to launch the game.
First, now go to options now go to video now over here select dx11 now try window full screen or you can try Window mode lower down resolution so if this is set to 4K you can try 1920 into 1080P or you can even lower down more for resolution scaling set it to none now go-to graphics and then if the Master quality is set to Epic you can try high you can go for the medium you can even try low and then check now scroll down now if the depth of field is on turn it off turn off motion blur and lower down Graphics settings and then check the performance also turn off Ray tracing so if Ray tracing is enabled over here disable Ray tracing and then check the performance.
20. Uninstall and reinstall the game to a different drive (Try SSD first)
Now the last step is to uninstall and reinstall the game to different drives so make our acting on the game select manage then click on uninstall now after the uninstall go to the game installation folder delete the game folder restart your computer and then reinstall the game to different drives so if you have another SSD or HDD try installing the game to a different drive and then check.
